Men’s Long Black Coats

What do people like about men’s long black coats?  When it comes down to it, the two most important things people look are attractiveness and warmth.  Men’s long black coats need to look good and keep you warm.  If they can do that then people are usually willing for to forgive the rest.

Still, if you want the best then you need to know what the criteria for the best is.  Well made men’s long coats need to be durable.  You don’t want to spend the money and then have it fall apart.  Durable long coats are made out of the best material, and are sewn together with precision.  A good way to test durability is to look at the stitching.  If it looks sloppy then it is not durable.  On the other hand, if the stitching is perfect then you’ve probably found yourself one of the best long coats in the men’s store.

The next most important attribute for people is comfortableness.  You’d think this would be higher on the list, but that just shows how important that other stuff is.  Comfortable long coats are usually well padded but not too padded, and cut to fit.  If you try to find the cheapest one in the men’s section, don’t be surprised if it is not comfortable.

There are some men’s long black  coats that you should stay away from.  Stay away from long coats with too few pockets.  Men’s clothing needs to have a lot of pockets.  We carry around a lot of gadgets that need to be stowed away.  Two pockets is nowhere near enough.  It’s nice to have at least four on the outside and two on the inside.  I always prefer long coats to have the extra pocket on the lower inside that’s for your keys.  Remember, it shouldn’t be in the men’s section if there aren’t a lot of pockets.

Some companies try a little too hard to make their product warm and instead make it entirely uncomfortable.  If it feels heavy and bulky in the store then it’s just going to feel heavier and more bulky when you wear it for real.  Stay away from heavy and bulky long coats.  They are poorly designed and will make your life miserable.  Jacket technology today is far beyond what it used to be.  There is simply no reason to make long coats bulky anymore.  It might be a little extra to get one that keeps you warm without the extra bulk, but believe me you will be glad you did.

Men’s long coats come in all shapes and sizes.  They have to because people come that way too.  So, remember, if you don’t find the perfect jacket in one store, you can always look in another.  Don’t settle for something you only kind-of like.  Believe me, you’ll never wear it.  Find the perfect long jacket, because the wintertime is always longer than you remember it being, and you always end up spending more time outside than you planned on spending.
